Moodling while sick
I am not a very good sick person – i like being active and to get things done – this flu thing has thrown me for a loop as i can’t do much. Right now i can barely see, eyes are red and puffy from hacking up a lung
(what a whiner eh?). Yesterday i did watch a few of Traci Bautista’s videos on Doodles Unleashed and really enjoyed them however i did not feel well enough to create a juicy colourful doodled masterpiece. Just the thought of assembling all of those tools and supplies made me tired.
What i did do was fool around a bit with a sketch on a painted book page and also conducted an experiment with staining paper with coffee and tea! I also am rereading the book “The Follow Through Factor” by Gene C Hayden. It’s funny and engaging and is full of ideas on how to overcome the fear of reaching for our goals. The book is full of practical advice – which i love. Gene’s funny way of writing kept me riveted for the first read through – now I’m rereading The Follow Through Factor and am taking notes.
Yes but my gut isn’t talking to me
I don’t know about you but so many of my projects and bleeding brilliant ideas have never made it past the door. They’ve had an untimely death. Is it a lack of inspiration? “Yes but my gut isn’t talking to me” – this is one of the Chapter headings in the book – isn’t it a hoot? Maybe my gut wasn’t talking to me – maybe i was deliberating too long before taking the next step.
On Getting Published
And speaking of following through and accomplishing goals and dreams I would be remiss if i did not remember the things i did accomplish. One of my goals years ago was to be published in magazines and have my own book. One of the little steps towards those goals was to become a Bellaonline editor. I was the kid’s craft editor. I can’t even remember how far back that was – i think it was at least 7 or 8 years ago. So if you are interested in pursuing this route why not check it out?
Okay – signing out – getting rather bleary eyed – hope you all have a lovely day!

Hope you feel better soon Violette.x
Sending healthy vibes your way Violette!
I hope you were drinking lots of tea while you were staining your pages. I love tea and think it cures just about everything. Feel better.
The book sounds like one I should read! I did a little search and found her blog – it looks like it has just recently been started and is well worth reading the first 2 entries.: http://thefollowthroughfactor.wordpress.com/
Take care and rest up.
