A little bit of Paradise–The Sunshine Coast
A few days ago i went to the Sunshine Coast for a couple of days – here is a little path my friend Jan and I walked along. You can probably see why i fell in love with the Coast. I love being close to the water – it’s so rejuvenating!
We stopped by my favourite breakfast cereal place called Holy Crap to take a quick photo – it was raining at the time. Holy Crap is going to be on Dragon’s Den this week – watch for it. The cereal is full of nutritional ingredients – chia seeds, hempseed hearts and buckwheat. And you guessed it – Holy Crap is great at keeping you regular……whoops………did i just say that out loud?
The cereal helps you with your energy levels as well as aids in losing weight – i lost 5 pounds and hope to lose another 10. I mix 2 tablespoons of holy crap with yogurt and have it for breakfast. Before discovering this cereal i never had breakfast and my blood sugars were all over the map – i was hypoglycaemic and would eat terrible food just to level me out.
When we drove in front of the small factory and watched the workers busily assembling the packages of cereal through the large picture windows everyone in the factory turned around and stared at us. I madly waved at them and they all waved back, gave me a peace sign and punched their fists in the air as if to say “hooray”! It was a sweet moment. I think my friend Jan was more than a wee bit embarrassed
. Holy Crap enjoys a bit of celebrity status on the Sunshine Coast.
You may remember a year and a half ago Mr. G and i went on holidays to the Sunshine Coast and i mentioned that there are more artists living there per capita then anywhere in the world! Well my friend and I checked out a few galleries and gift shops that sold the Sunshine Coast’s artists work attesting to that fact. Jose Ventura’s lovely sculptures were on display at a wonderful gallery called “Fresh from the Coast”.
I love the addition of real jewellery which enhanced the sculptures.
Can you imagine having one of these lovely ladies greeting your guests at the front door? Fun! I bought a small metal sculpture of a flying lady that Jose Ventura created just so that i would remember my lovely inspired visit.
My friend Jan brought in some of her gorgeous hand made fibre purses – the gallery owner took several of them to sell. She loved them.
Jan and i spent a bit of time deciding how to market her lovely creations, coming up with a name, a tagline and then ordering a bunch of business cards and mini moo cards from www.moo.com. The mini moos are perfect to use as hangtags.
All in all it was an enjoyable visit. I hope to visit the Coast again real soon!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I love it up there! My grandparents had a cottaqge there when I was growing up so I spent my summers up there. It’s like a different world.
I love the image of you waving to the Holy Crap workers

Love, violette
Thank you for your kind words Violette. Now that I’ve had a chance to look at your blog I can so totally see why you had to have one of Jose Ventura’s pieces. And Jan’s lovely purses are selling well here at Fresh. Thanks for the plug and please come by next time you’re on the coast.
Cheers,
Karen
