The Bucket list
Early this morning while still in a dream i kept thinking about the bucket list. When i was thinking what to blog about today the bucket list came up. Last night we had a lovely dinner with friends and the conversation turned to what our friends wanted to do when they retired.
The bucket list is what you want to do before you kick the bucket
. You don’t have to wait to retire before you work on your bucket list – you can work on it right now. One item on my bucket list is to learn how to play the Ukulele which is what I am doing. I’d also like to go to India, go zip lining, move to the Sunshine Coast and do some public speaking around teens and self-esteem (without being too fearful). I would also like to have at least a couple other books under my belt, travel to Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Bali and Haida Gwai *(the Queen Charlotte Islands). I’d like to develop a comprehensive program for teens that involves art, video, a book, instruction guide and more!
I’d like to go on a silent 10 day retreat and actually make it through the 10 days without blowing it by speaking, writing notes or using sign language
.
If you go through life without ever thinking about the goals you would like to achieve and things you’d like to experience life will happen to you rather than you being the orchestrator of your life.
So what’s on your bucket list? I’d love to know.

I’d love to meet you someday and have a cup ‘o tea together.
Also on my bucket list: visiting the Grand Canyon and absorbing it’s wonder, having my own book published, and looking up at a sky so clear that I can actually see the Milky Way… oh! and see the Northern Lights!
And I have the NZ accommodation for you with fresh cotton sheets on the bed! As for India – you’d love, love, love it! I’ve only been around Rajasthan but oh! Fabulous – I want to go back and expore the south!
Each day passes whether you participate or not – Den Ming-Dao in 365 Daily Meditations. Keep moving forward – kia kaha!
My list…visit the grand canyon..walk along the great wall of china..Mumbai…Taj Mihal…
You gave me a great idea for my bucket list. I had the list tucked in a pocket in an art journal but I need to see it and be reminded. So I am going to put each item on a card or wooden piece and put them in a box, a bucket or maybe in a clear pocket sheet and hang it on a wall.
Right now the most pressing item on my list is to get a new house so I can have art salons.
