The Magic Cottage bedroom revamp
Sue Bleiweiss of the Sketchbook Challenge sent me these lovely postcards promoting the Sketchbook Challenge book which will be released in June. I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful book! You can pre-order the book.
This is the sitting area which used to be where the bed lived in the magic cottage. It was getting more difficult for Mr. G to get into bed with his bad back. You had to crouch around the billowing fabric swags to get in
.
Mr. G has been working for the past several weekends on creating a bedframe for the bed. He loves making things out of wood – i love to paint them bright colours, he loves the natural wood colour so every now and then he gets his way
. I’m good as long as i can surround the dark wood items like the bedframe and the table in the sitting area with lots of colour and whimsy. The bedframe has drawers in it so i can store some books and linens in them.
I am such a creature of habit and don’t like too many changes. Isn’t that funny? You’d think being an artist I’d like to change things up a bit. I’m pretty thrilled with the results though!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

The revamp is gorgeous. I LOVE the bed!!
Mr G is so clever – working with wood must be so satisfying – the smell and feel of it. I’ve been collecting driftwood for the edges of my garden – not the same at all but I do love having natural materials around me.
love the bed frame..lovely atmosphere..
That looks great. I like the small garland of lights too. Nice job Mr G.
