Now I am super duper excited to offer you this lovely giveaway!  One sweet winner will receive Melody Ross of Brave Girls Club gorgeous book “A Little Bird told me”!  The folks at Brave Girls generously gifted me with one book and one to give away!  How wonderful is that?  This gorgeous book is like a love letter to you full of colourful pages of Melody’s mixed media inspiring art and words of encouragement and love. You’ll surely treasure this little beauty!

The next lucky winner will receive this bundle of artsy goodness – my Walking on Sunshine notebook (7” x 5”), a “Follow your bliss” pendant and an original mini  mixed media painting on wood block called “Go Ask Alice” (2 1/2” x 5” x 1 1/2”)  – it’s glittered too!

So I’ll be picking two winners next Friday December 14th at 8 am PST!  All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment here letting me know what your wish is for this Christmas!  If you don’t celebrate Christmas what is your wish for the New Year? Good luck everyone!

My apologies for being missing in action. This week has been super duper busy – been going to meetings, helping to paint designs on my 2 grandson’s new bedroom walls and also doing some graphic recording for a Teen Dating Abuse Conference! I have not even created a xmas card this year or even begun to send any cards out.  Yikes!

Remember i have a Journal Jam happening at the Good Day Sunshine Cafe next tuesday Dec. 11th at 3:30 pm! I hope some of you can come out and jam with me!  It’s FREE!

I hope you all have a marvellous weekend wherever you are!

Lots of love,

Violette xo

How delightful would it be have it as my Trademark for my art. I have tried many times to win one of ya giveaways. MAYBE, just maybe I’d have the good fortune of doing so with this wish.

That my family can all get together! Including my son and his family from Arizona, my brother and his family from Virginia, and all of us still here in Michigan!

It’s been four years since my dad has passed and we haven’t gotten all together as a family since then. I’d love to win the lottery, or somehow get the money to buy the tickets and pay for everyone to come here and stay for a week. We’d all go to my mom’s place on the lake and just enjoy a good old fashioned Christmas (with snow) and enjoy all the kids, the new ones as well as the ones who are getting older so quickly!!

My mom is getting up there in age, she can’t travel too far, it’d be a Blessing if the fates would allow this miracle to happen!

Thanks to you Violette, for being so much fun, so creative, inspiring and giving!

      Happy Holidays everyone!

He is my first born and I raised him by myself until he was 13 years old. My heart would be so full if I could see him again and hug him and tell him how much I love him! I think if I could hold him once more, I could get well.

My wish is for the health and happiness of my brothers and parents who have all struggled a bit these past few years. But I see that things are turning around for them and they are getting the 2nd interviews and falling in love and making friends. They are enjoying their own families and the stress seems to have cleared just enough to put a smile on all of our faces. I wish that they are able to continue on this path to renewal and that they receive everything they have worked so hard to accomplish.

My wish for Christmas is to share my creativity with as many as possible. I truly believe in the benefit of the arts as a form of therapy and great joy. And I believe a lot of people have a notion that they “are not creative” simply because they do not have a formal art education/background. That is a misconception. Through my art journaling I want to show people they can create art that makes them happy and broadens their view of the world. I will be making presentations later this winter at a local library because I want to share this gift and bring the joy of art to as many as possible.
Have the most Blessed and Merry Christmas!

Thank you Violette for always sharing your enthusiasm and of course your “happy” projects. My wish for the holidays is to teach young people to express themselves through art journaling. I would love to be able to work with the kids at the woman’s shelter to help make them smile and perhaps help them to raise their self esteem a bit, Thanks so much and the best of everything to you and yours <3

      Hi Violette,
I can’t believe that I finally remembered to enter your contest BEFORE it was over! Your question made me really think. I have many wishes but this one is the most important to me. This is unusual but here goes. My mom passed away a little over a year ago unexpectedly. She lived in Sonoma CA, and I hadn’t seen her for a few months. I hadn’t even talked to her in about 10 days because my cell phone was out of minutes and I didn’t have any money to buy any more. I felt so badly about that but I had made her a card telling her I loved her and why I couldn’t call. I also sent her a little pair of earrings I’d made for her. A few days after I sent the card and the earrings, my brother called to give me the news. I was devastated and continued to be this whole past year. Couldn’t function, couldn’t think of anything else but that she wasn’t here anymore.
My wish is this: that I would be able to see and feel her spirit one more time. She actually has visited me here in my apt a few times,
but I am never 100% sure it is she. I wish that she could manifest her spirit at Christmas time so I know it’s my mom. I know other people who have had good-bye visits from relatives and friends. But my mom has not done this and I wish she would. I have asked her to several times. But nothing so far. I miss her so much, I feel I could move along in my grief if I could say good bye face to face, so to speak, although I am much better than I was. Whew! Hardest year if my whole life. So that’s it. Sorry so long. As you know, I love your work but the only way I’ll ever have anything of yours is if I win it!! So pick me! Pick me! Pam from B’ham

We are getting my two young children together with my sister’s two young children for Christmas, so my wish is that we remember to enjoy and value the wonder of Christmas through their eyes, rather than worrying too much about noise, crumbs, or (yikes!) a few broken items here or there!

I’d love to get a spinning wheel for Christmas, but since I am pretty sure Santa doesn’t have it in stock, I’ll just be content to hear that my grown daughters are all finding Christmas joys with their friends and family far away. My youngest daughter is graduating high school and starting her own life next year, so we need to have some special times between now and then…
