Art Journal Jam tomorrow!

Here is a bit of randomness for you………..i was wearing my Dr. Seuss leggings while shopping at the store the other day and caught a glimpse of my legs and art purse in the mirror. I thought it was funny so snapped this photo!

I snapped this photo of my art journal page and supplies while i was at the Good Day Sunshine Cafe a while ago.  I am hosting an Art Journal Jam tomorrow at the Cafe at 3:30 pm – it’s free to all – just buy a beverage and snack and join me.  I have no idea how many folks will be dropping by – anywhere from 2 to 20 Smile!  It’s kind of an experiment to see if there is much interest in this sort of idea.

December Holiday Contest!

If you have not already entered my fun holiday contest – please go here – lots of lovely goodies are being given away!

Mr. G, my son Ryan and yours truly were working on my grandson’s two bedrooms on Saturday.  I can’t believe i forgot to take a photo to show you!  The rooms are looking cute – i painted rolling hills, clouds and a sunshine in Sam’s room and something similar in baby Toby’s room.  My son and family are moving into their new home today!  Good luck with the move!

Love, Violette xo

Love the leggings – and here’s hoping it’s standing room only in the cafe!

My dad and his girlfriend were evacuated days before the Sandy storm from LBI and today six weeks later they are finally able to order their hot water heater, heater and airconditioning unit. We are hoping that they will be back in his home on the bay side by Christmas. Unfortunately, his girlfriends home sustained more than 250,000 in damages and has seen no money from insurance or FEMA so it may be months and months before she will be back in her home. So that is my wish that my 77 year old dad and his 75 year old “gal” will be home for Christmas :)
