21 Secrets LIVE!

Hello Creatives!

I’m so excited to be a part of this wonderful celebration – an art journaling adventure. There are so many things to be grateful for and the amazing connection with other creatives made possible by the wonders of the internet is one of them!  Yay!

21secrets_LIVE

21 SECRETS is turning five years old this 2014 and we are throwing a special workshop to celebrate our ka-tooties off!

Come join a group of past 21 SECRETS teachers in 21 SECRETS LIVE!–you don’t have to find a hotel, break the bank on airfare, or even get out of  your pajamas!

Starting January 15 your host Connie Hozvicka of Dirty Footprints Studio and a past 21 SECRETS teacher will meet every Wednesday at 6pm EST for a LIVE! video broadcast where you can art journal along with us in real time, ask us questions through a chat format, laugh your hiney off, sip margaritas, and feel like we’re right there with you in your studio LIVE!

Can’t make the LIVE! broadcasts? No problemo! Each 21 SECRETS LIVE! broadcast is recorded and available for all members to keep and return to again and again!

But the party doesn’t just stop there–we’ll keep the loving going in a private Facebook group and Flickr gallery too–so you can share your work, give and receive feedback, and be a part of a heart-centered supportive community of Artists!

HOW IT WORKS

  • 21 SECRETS LIVE! will be broadcasted on a LIVE! private Spreecast video for 21 consecutive Wednesdays at 6pm EST starting Wednesday, January 15, 2014 through June 4, 2014.  Spreecast cost nothing to join–and you can read more about doing so HERE.
  • Connie Hozvicka will be your host along with an honored teacher each week.
  • Each workshop is geared towards getting us art journaling LIVE! together as a community–please do not fret over what supplies you need–bring what you got and what you can afford!
  • Each broadcast will last 90 minutes where the teacher will art journal LIVE! from their studio sharing what they are doing, answering questions, and chatting along with Connie and YOU!
  • As a live participant you can use the chat box located on the Spreecast platform to dialogue with us and the 21 SECRETS LIVE! community.
  • There will also be an optional private Facebook group  and Flickr gallery where you are welcome to keep the conversation going once the broadcast is over and post your art work.
  • Within 48 hours after the broadcast you will receive a downloadable PDF to keep that will list notes from the broadcast, information about the honored teacher, and a permanent link to the broadcast that you can refer to again and again.

Awesome & Congrats Sweet Lady! I’d love to win this cause I’d love to get back to and get better at Art Journaling! I liked it because it’s a time to share creativity with just me. I also write poetry and used to include it here and there amongst the pages. I’d love to create my own book this way and have been accumulating supplies but I think this could “light a fire under me”, ya know? I don’t do a whole lot for just fun, especially these days, so I think it would be good for me all around and otherwise I know I couldn’t afford it!
Christmas gift, one might say, but my hubby already promised me an iPad Mini for Christmas…don’t think I’m ready to discourage that! Thanks for the chance to win a spot and congrats again! Your art is amazing!

My favorite thing about art journaling is the abundance of creative artistic tools used in creating a page that expresses my emotion on that day.

Congrats Violette! This is very exciting. I love to Journal but don’t often make the time for it. Something like this would inspire me to do something on a regular basis. If I can afford to do this I will definitely join thru your link.

The thing I love most about art journaling is that you can write down your most private thoughts and paint or collage right over them…still be able to share your art while keeping your thoughts tucked away.

Art Journaling is like a vacation for my soul. I’m not worrying so much about my art journaling pages looking pretty and “good enough” to show others. It’s okay to be messy and raw and that makes it feel so FREEING!!! 🙂

I have discovered the benefits of art journaling last year and got hooked. It helps me relax and free my mind of negative thoughts. I have been following a 52 weeks course last year and would love to join the 21 Secrets. My blog friends highly recommend it. 🙂

Congratulations Violette! Being a teacher with 21 Secrets is wonderful! My favorite thing about art journaling is that I can make it mine. I get to make all the decisions concerning my own art journaling. I can share it, or not. I can choose the technique or style I want for each page. I can explore techniques and styles without fear of failing, or others seeing it if it’s a total miss. I can play with words, letters, symbols, numbers……..I can have it make sense, or not…..I can play, I can explore, I can learn, I can grow………and I can do it all with the help and encouragement of wonderful friends and teachers I’ve met in the art and art journaling world. 🙂

This would be great to win. What I love about art journaling is that I can play, take it out whenever I have free time, and not be concerned with it being perfect or making a mistake. They are fun to travel with too.

I think what i love most is the process of just layering and truly being okay with how it turns out, even if it’s not pleasing to my eye.

    Hi Violette,
What I love most is my art journal is a grown up version of the diary I used to keep as a teenager! With lots more color and creativity and I feel more freedom to express just what I’m thinking and feeling on any given day.
At 69 yrs old I can finally allow myself to just be myself!!
    Love, Ethel

Quite simply, art journalling keeps me sane! It is my go to when I am stressed, angry and anxious. It is my shout it from the rooftops when things are going great. It is my quiet place when I need some some peace. Art journalling has helped me to discover the artist who has been hidden within and itching to get out for over 40 years. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity Violette. xxx

I have done very little journaling in the past, but it is definitely a discipline I would love to incorporate in my life more often. Winning this would be a great opportunity to understand more about my creative self.

What do I love about Art Journaling?? So many things…..but if I have to pick one…..I would have to say that it is being able to use all different kinds of media…..it is SO much fun……and that it is ALL mine…..I don’t have to share it with anybody……it doesn’t have to be perfect…….and I can just let my creativity FLOW. Ok….so that wasn’t just one thing!

Art journaling is rewarding for so many reasons. My journals are private and sacred spaces. I am uninhibited when journaling and I gain insights into my inner world. It is the ability to express myself visually that continually pulls me to its pages. I would love to win a spot in this course because through greater knowledge of materials and techniques I am able to express myself with greater ease and clarity.

I love the freedom that “Art journaling” gives me in my everyday life, to get things out on the page in my own way helps me process my life positively. Thanks for having a draw, I would love to win a place in this course : )

I love art journalling because being creative is like an anti-anxiety activity. If I feel frazzled, I make some art and feel better. No medication required.

What I like about art journaling, you can say what you need to say with images and few words….YOU know what you are trying to say without letting the whole world in. To them, it’s a beautiful piece of art, to you it’s innermost feelings.

journalling allows me to be brave enough to say the things i feel, but would never dare to say out loud! It also helps me unwind after a stressful day at the hospital where i work

I would dearly love to to win this. I have two gorjuss journals but they are totally blank. I am so afraid of making mistakes which i know is silly cos there are no mistakes in art. I think i am lacking in confidence and would love to join in with people who could teach me lots. Am super excited. Hope i’m lucky. x

    Hi Violette,

What I love most about Art Journaling is that it allows me to express with creativity without rules! I love to experiment and play with all kinds of mixed media and a variety of techniques. Additionally, I think it makes me more aware of my inner life and brings me in touch with my spirituality.

Thanks so much! Last minute, so keeping my fingers crossed!

I would love to win a spot in 21 Secrets! It would keep me inspired to continue my art journal efforts. Art journaling helps me to express ideas and keep them from escaping when they drift into my dreams. When I express my ideas, I feel like I have given them a permanent home. Love you Violette. You are such an inspiration to me :). Thank you for this opportunity.
