    Hi Violette,

Happy 60! I turned 61 in Jan. I would love to win a copy of “Get Your Mojo Going” and the DVD. What gets my mojo going is reading blogs and watching dvd’s and videos of artists creating. Also, attending live workshops whenever I can can jumpstart my mojo also. This past winter it was colder and snowier than usual here in VA, so my mojo had a slump. Spring is here now, so I’m hoping for improvement. Thanks for the chance to win!

i remind myself ” that only that day dawns to which we are awake” and think about what dreams I want to accomplish…then I make a timeline to work backwards from the accomplished dream…as much as possible…and that seems to get me cracking! I am also motivated by amazing music, nature, and pinterest inspiration!

Sharing my creative skills is what really gets my MOJO ON THE MOVE – helping people to kickstart their creativity is the most wonderful feeling in the world!

Journals are so very therapeutic, I have encouraged many people to get started on one. The idea of a Teens healing art journal is really good, so many of them have problems great and small that they could work through in this way. I would love to have a copy of the Teens Dream Journal DVD as well as the Get your Mojo Going: Embrace your Passion Workbook.

Being exposed to highly creative people (like you of course) really gets my mojo flowing. I love the idea of the teen dvd. I am a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters and have a 14 year old “little sister” that I have been with for 5 years. This looks like something she would love. Thanks for keeping teens in mind!!

What a wonderful giveaway Violette, and may I add I love your work. What gets my mojo going before starting to paint is actually watching some of my favorite mixed media artist on youtube or on their blog for inspiration to get the juices flowing. Lately I’ve been so busy w/everyday life and work that I might go a week without getting to my art table again so sometimes I need that push and inspiration from another artist. Also going to a artist friend of mine studio once a week to just sit and create helps.

Violette, you always have the best classes and study materials. I would love a copy of your latest book on getting your mojo going for 2014. I have the teen journal DVD which I bought for my niece. We had a lot of fun making it and gluing stuff inside. Have you thought about selling the mojo book separately?

I love to go for a drive in the sunshine, with my camera in tow. When I see something that inspires me, I stop to take a photo to use in an art journal page later. I love to add quotes to go along with the photos.

    Abrazos y bendiciones

What gets my Mojo going is this breathtaking Spring.
Everywhere I look the beauty awes and inspires me.
I feel as if it is the most incredible spring I have ever experienced.
The colours are brighter, the aromas are sweeter, the flowers blooming on every side.
A miracle seems to appear around every corner.
And then after filling myself with all these sensations and the pure bliss of being alive at this time, I bring those impressions home to write and draw in my journal.

i love it when i am driven to create. i can’t “will” inspiration but i can listen quietly for it … and i can pick up the paintbrush and let myself go. the thing that i can do is to keep my calendar free enough so that i have time to be inspired and just play. this is counter-balanced by signing up for challenges or commitments, which drive me to meet a deadline with a focused assignment.

i am very inspired right now by the “one little word” prompts from artist Ali Edwards. last year my word was grace and this year it is home. i actually cut up your calendar from last year and have used it in tags and collages and vision boards, related to my one little word. your calendar images are in the vision boards of some of my friends too.

i love learning things. i love your book and one thing i really have practiced is borders. i also love your lettering, which i am working on right now.

    thanks for being an inspiration.

Just a little giggle for you Violette, the cartoon with the Rumi quote “respond to every call that excites your spirit”, I thought was a pair of b o o bs …. lol. I did first see it in the email so it was small. well that’s my excuse and I am sticking with it.

Recently, what gets my mojo going is hiking
in and around places in Whatcom County
that I have never seen before, or never even
heard of before. The county had some really
old out buildings that are very interesting to look
at and snap photos of. There are the ancient
but still standing representatives of another
time. Also ancient cemeteries for the county.
I plan to take photos of the buildings and
cemeteries to honor those who lived and
passed here and who contributed to making our
county what it is today: a fascinating,
historical site in which to discover our past.

To jumpstart my mojo, I sit down and watch artsy/craftsy how-to videos. Oddly, it seems like I’m always inspired to go do something i a completely different media from what’s shown on screen. Quilt videos make me want to journal, watercolor videos make me want to quilt, etc.

Well, your art really gets my happy mojo going. Also browing web sites and finding artists who do speedy, happy art. Also workshops, and I’m in 4 year-long ones this year! =) My family, my “kids-cat and dog” my friends and I guess the list could go on forever. I love all my vast collection of supplies and gravitate toward diversity in using them. Your art has always made me smile =)

I get my mojo going by going thru all my favorite blogs and seeing what the artists are doing. I have a 6 month old so right now any free time gets me going and I have to be quick! For my last birthday I gave away gifts of food to the homeless, candy, and jewelry. I left bags if goodies all over town as an act of kindness. I did acts of kindness for each day I was alive. Happy Birthday to you and have a fun cartoon inspired day!

What get’s my Mojo Running? After a long stint of indecisiveness, fear of failure and lack of self confidence a rainy day will happen and I begin to feel a stirring in my gut. I find myself putting on Jim Croche or Enya and drawing circles. To my amazement art begins to appear and I am at peace at last. You have been a huge inspiration Violette. I can never thank you enough. If you follow the link above you will see that I used some of your art to jump start my “Creative Bliss” several years ago. I gave you credit in the description. Thank you again for all you have brought to so many frustrated artists. We all love you. Please enter me in the April contest.

So many things do it for me since I was sick, I gained a ‘2nd lease on life’ and then we moved to beautiful, sunshiny Florida. Nature does it for me, especially the gulf, birds, flowers that are so prevalent down here. Pretty food does it, too…we have so much beautiful produce down here that I’ve found cooking to be even more of a creative experience. Beauty, color, good music, sunny days…the Jacaranda & Plumeria blooming so that every drive with the windows down is fully scented and satisfying!

And, 60…wow…hope I look as good as you at 60…I have a little over 6 years to go! Lovely way to celebrate, too! Happy Birthday early, dear!
