Happy Friday my friends! I don’t know what i was thinking. I am giving away 2 prizes for my February contest however that doesn’t sit right with me – it feels like it should be either one or three prizes so I’m adding another prize into the mix!
On Monday I’ll be giving away these two little Talking Heads – “Quirky” and “Bliss – Tranquility”……..they would be so sweet standing on a bookshelf nestled next to your favourite books or simply displayed on a mantle quietly holding the energy of quirky, bliss and tranquility .
As you can see i have indulged my love of glitter by dousing these little beauties with opalescent glitter! Sweet! These little talking heads are 2” x 4”x 1/2”, mixed media on wood. The hat adds extra height to Quirky. Originally I called the talking heads without hats “Men without hats” just for fun!
So if you have not already entered my contest please go here for contest details and enter to win one of three prizes! Good Luck!
And speaking of contests……
Nicci from Into the heART art Retreat is having a contest you might want to check out! I’m one of the instructors for Nicci’s retreat!
I’ll be making crafts with my little grandson Sam today – should be fun! He loves Craft time!
Enjoy the weekend!

It has been a while since I’ve had a contest – i think i missed January? Yikes! In any case i have decided to give away some lovely morsels of artsy goodness!
Prize number one: I’ll be giving away three chunky wood blocks with prints of my original art! I think they look so sweet in a grouping, on the wall or propped up next to a book! The prints are 4” x 5” x 1/2” – painted black on the sides and back. There’s a hanger to hang up your little piece of art.
Prize number two: You’ll be getting 2 bookmarks and 3 magnets 4” x 5”. Juicy inspiration for your fridge and a place marker for your books.
I had a fun time yesterday assembling the chunky wood blocks for my contest!
I’ll be drawing 2 names next Monday February 25th at 8 am PST. To enter my contest please leave a comment here – let me know what’s your favourite way of learning something new – taking a live class, online workshop, reading a book or skimming the internet – also do you prefer videos, step by step PDF’s or written materials?
Thank you and Good Luck!
Love, Violette xo
The studio clean-up continues ……
I have trouble doing things like this on my own – i can’t maintain a level of enthusiasm by myself. It helps if i have someone with me cheering me on. I tend to welcome any distraction like the other day my Mom and Stepdad dropped by and we went out for lunch – rather than return to cleaning i got onto other chores. The biggest problem is that i have amassed a ton of supplies with no room for everything – i do need to purge but don’t have the time right now. I am babysitting my grandbaby Cillian this afternoon.
The supplies i use for my workshops don’t have a home so they will simply have to be piled up in a corner during the Art Party on Saturday.
If you haven’t entered the May Contest giveaway go here.
Over at Creativity Portal they have a 20 Question Interview you can take part in – it’s all about your creative life.
Chris Dunmire has a review of Pattie Mosca’s Permission Slips book and how it has helped some of her clients and friends. While you are over at Creativity Portal check out Pattie’s interview here.
Thank you for all of the great ideas on future videos. Judging from your comments i can tell that many of you would like to see videos of me drawing faces! In the meantime i thought you would enjoy this video of Tam – (Willowing) creating a face in 20 minutes. It’s a lovely painterly face. Tam demonstrates that it truly doesn’t take long to add a bit of creativity to your life! Enjoy! Do check out Willowing’s gorgeous May Calendar.
It’s about time i had another contest don’t you think? So for the May Contest Giveaway I am offering up 4 “thank you Top hat girl” greeting cards as well as the pendant Cupcake Girl
Isn’t she sweet? – she can be a little talisman that you were daily to remind yourself to follow your bliss!
On the back of the pendant it says “Follow your bliss” – just in case you forget!
To enter to win these goodies simply leave me a message in the comment section letting me know what you’d like to see in my next youtube video! Thank you and good luck! Contest ends at midnight on Wednesday May 23rd (PST).
