Yay! It’s finally open – registration is now open for Life Book 2015! Can you imagine a year full of self-discovery, art, joy and bliss? Well that’s what’s in store for you when you take Life Book 2015. I’m so thrilled to be in such good company – check out some of your amazing teachers……..
This is going to be a sparkly year – a mixed media art journaling extravaganza where you’ll connect with like-minded spirits. You’ve heard me mention many times that art saves lives – art has saved my life! What a wonderful opportunity to get your mojo going while healing yourself and positively impacting those around you. Your sparkly vibes will be felt all around you while you honour your creative spirit by making heart inspired art!
I’ll be teaching two classes. “Magical Mystery Tour” – a tour of the magic cottage (video) and dialogue about how it evolved and had included the community. You’ll be guided to create your own magic cottage on the page using fast motion video.
“Glorious Childhood tales!” We will be remembering the cool things we loved as a child and honouring them by doodling them using a variety of mixed media techniques – we’ll be joyfully assembling the doodles into a lively joyful page using collage. A whimsical child will be drawn to connect all of the wonderful joyful memories. An audio visualization to connect to our small child will be provided.

Hope to see you all there!

Holy Mackerole! We had over 432 entries to this contest giveaway (i had to choose a name from two blogposts as i originally had made a mistake)! I’ve been having contest giveaways for many years now and this is definitely the most entries I have EVER received!
I read each and every entry – i was so moved by many of your comments. Many of you shared your hopes and dreams and about why you so needed this class to feed your souls. I truly was blown away and many times even moved to tears. Each and every one of you deserves a spot however each teacher is allowed to give only one spot away! Just to let you know how incredibly generous Tamara Laporte is……..she gave away 10 spots! WOW!
The winner of my giveaway is Carol Mc! Here’s what Carol had to say:
I would love to win a seat in Life Book 2015. I have experienced some traumatic changes in my life this year. My husband and my sister both passed away in the beginning of this year. Now I am pretty much a full time caretaker for my mother who is recovering from a rare form of cancer called NETS. I’m trying to adjust to these changes and take stock of the blessings that I do have in my life. I’ve been having difficulty finding purpose and direction in my life now. My husband and I had been making plans together for 25 years; now I have to accept things and make new plans. I think this would be such a great class for some personal introspection that I could certainly use at this time.
Would love to learn from such a fantastic array of teachers; and have these lessons to look forward to every week. Thank you for the chance to win a seat in class.
If you know me at all you know that i have difficulty choosing one winner or even three for that matter. When my kids were little and I had backyard “art contests” or “bug finding contests” for the neighbour kids everyone always won a prize. I’d create catergories just so that the child could feel like a winner. Unfortunately I can’t do that today but I do hope that if you really want a spot in LIFE BOOK 2015 and you can’t afford it that you mention it to family members or friends who might be willing to gift it to you for a Christmas or birthday present. It’s definitely going to be well worth it – an entire year of soul-filled, artsy goodness. So good for your soul! For more information on all of the teachers and the course please click here.
Thank you soooo much to all of you for taking the time to enter and for visiting my blog. I really appreciate it!
Just to let you know I am also going to give away one of my Teens Dream Journal DVD’s to a woman who teaches Tweens art…….I just have to search and find her name again!

Good Morning everyone!
I just wanted to share with you a few of the illustrations I have been working on. I have no idea what they will be used for……..art journal pages, cartoons, future projects, sketches for future projects?
Here’s a tribal face and a jellyfish. Supplies used: Copic Markers, micron pens, gel pens, paint pens and pencil crayons. I had bought some new art supplies and wanted to test them out.
I was inspired by the little creatures Teesha Moore has been creating in her journals and so decided to make a few of my own. I can’t tell you how much fun i’ve been having! I was sitting and watching TV drawing away! Fun!
This will be the last reminder to enter to win a spot in LIFE BOOK 2015! You will be able to enter over 20 times on the different artist’s Blogs.
Good Luck everyone!
Love, Violette xo
I am sooo jazzed, excited and honoured to be a part of Tamara Laporte’s Life Book 2015! I met Tam several years ago online and became a member of her Ning forum. I loved Tam’s artistry but even more so her deep authentic and caring nature. I resonated with her back then and still do today. So I’m super duper happy that Tam asked me to be one of the teachers this year. There’s an incredible line up of instructors for you to learn from! Woo hoo! This is such an amazing opportunity……………and the goodness goes on for a whole year!
If you would like to win a spot in Life Book 2015 please leave me a message in the comments below letting me know why you’d like to win. I’ll draw one lucky winner on Friday September 19th at 8 am PST. Good Luck!
